The Madison Academy Mustangs defeated Sylvania 35-28 in the quarterfinals of the playoffs last Friday at home.

The Mustangs enter the game with a 13-0 record.... They were 8-0 on their home turf and 5-0 on the road.

The Mustangs' offense is averaging 49.5 points a game.... The Mustangs' defense is only allowing 11.5 points a game.

Madison Academy has rolled through the 2023 football season unblemished thus far.

They qualified for the playoffs by finishing 1st in Class 3A Region 7. The Mustangs were 6-0 in region play.

The Mustangs have made 29 playoff appearances with an overall record of 43-25.... They are 5-0 on the road in the semi-finals. 		The Geraldine Bulldogs defeated Lauderdale County 55-20 in the quarterfinals of the playoffs last Friday on the road.

The Bulldogs enter the game with a 12-1 record.... They were 5-0 on their home turf and 7-1 on the road.

The Bulldogs' offense is averaging 39.1 points a game. The Bulldogs' defense is only giving up 13.4 points a game.

Geraldine is on a eight game winning streak since losing to Sylvania in week five of the season by a score of 37-16 on the road. Since that loss the Bulldogs have outscored their opponents by an average of 49.6-15.1.
